ZARA boss Amancio Ortega has been listed as the richest fashion man by Forbes' 2013 Billionaires List, according to reports.
Vogue.co.uk has reported that the fashion tycoon is worth $57bn (R518.46bn) an increase of $19.5bn (R177.37bn) in one year.
According to reports, Ortega is the only person in the world who got rich quicker in 2012 with his fortune increasing by $19.5bn (R177.37bn) last year.
Vogue.co.uk reported that returning to the top 10 for the first time since 1999 is L'Oreal heiress Liliane Bettencourt, who, with a fortune of $30bn is the world's richest woman.
On the positive side reports confirms that “a number of female billionaires has increased by a third over the past year, representing 138 of the 1,426 global billionaires.”
Isabel Dos Santos, daughter of Angola President, Jose Eduardo dos Santos is Africa’s Richest Woman Billionaire in 2013 with her $500 millions (R4547.93m) net worth, according to richestman2013.com.
Meanwhile it reported that for the third time in a row, Nigerian-born Aliko Dangote retains his position as Africa’s richest man with $4.9bn (R44.57bn) richer than he was last year.
