A video has gone viral with thousands of views on YouTube after a group of boys videotaped the very messy results of feeding laxatives to a flock of seagulls.

The boys covered potato chips in sticky laxative and threw them on the beach for the seagulls to feed on.

They then set back and watched as people ran for cover to hide from the roaming birds.

The video has since gone viral on Youtube, received mixed reactions.

While others found the prank to be cruel and disgusting:

Disgusting, animal cruelty..

Likely killed the birds from dehydration or metabolic pH disturbance causing hypokalemia and/or hypermagnesium.
