Cape Town International Airport was last week named Africa's best airport at the Skytrax World Airport Awards in Vienna.

The awards attract huge industry interest and got top billing at Passenger Terminal Expo 2012.

"Cape Town International Airport (ACSA CTIA) has once again been named the best airport in Africa and the best airport in Africa for staff service excellence at the Skytrax World Airport Awards," said Nonkanyiso Nyilika, communications officer for Cape Town International Airport.

"This announcement comes shortly after having been awarded the best airport in Africa award by Airports Council International," Nyilika said.

Delivering an excellent customer service experience was an ongoing focus for CTIA and its airport community, she said.
