A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a car on Main Reef Road, between Brakpan and Benoni, east of Johannesburg on Saturday, paramedics said.

The 33-year-old man was catapulted into the air and paramedics found him lying on the road a few metres from his bike, ER24 spokesman Derrick Banks.

The driver of the car was not injured. -Sapa
