The South African National Defence Force (SANDF) paratroopers and air force have proven to be the most entertaining at the Rand show this year.

The SANDF opened the 2012 Rand Easter Show with a spectacular show that wowed audiences. The proceedings were led by the National Ceremonial Guard and band who took to the main arena to the applause of the members of the public who came to witness the event.

There is also an impressive line-up of vehicles, aircraft and military displays which visitors can see daily.

For the first time this year, visitors get to meet the reptiles and raptors of the Rand Show’s exclu-sive Animal Kingdom display.

There’s also a farmyard for kids, daily Easter parades, trips on the monorail, adrenalin-fuelled thrills in the fun fair with the Looping Star and the Kids Theatre.
