MISSING: Erika Fourie, 18.
Police in Welkom are appealing to the public to help in locating three young women who went missing earlier this month.
The three were travelling in a black Kia Picanto that belonged to one of the woman’s parents. They were last seen on March 1.
Police spokesperson Capt Stephen Thakeng said the three have a history of using drugs and that the driver, Roxanne Harrison, 24, took the car without her parents’ consent.
Harrison allegedly stole jewellery worth more than R7 000 from her parents.
“They have been involved in drug abuse, their parents have confirmed that.
“All parents of the three have opened missing persons cases. Harrison’s parents opened a case docket of use of vehicle without owner’s permission against their daughter,” said Thakeng.
The other two missing women are Erika Fourie, 18, and Marelise Steyn, 23.
“The vehicle has a white horse and a white star signs stuck on its right side at the back.
“Anyone with information that can lead to the tracing of the three missing women should contact Det WO Thabiso Mosobela of Welkom police on 0573916257 or 0721209451,” said Thakeng.
