A major depletion in numbers caused by strike action has not deterred the Kruger National Park ranger corps from their duties, evidenced by yet another successful strike against rhino poachers on Tuesday.
“A ranger patrol in the southern section observed four men crossing a river into Kruger,” police spokesperson Col McIntosh Polela said. “A firefight ensued and one of them died. Two others were wounded by rangers’ fire, while the fourth was arrested.
